I purchased this replacement speedometer because the Odometer readout on mine went out. What Drag Specialties doesn't tell you & I was VERY disappointed to find out is that there is no way to transfer your original mileage from the old speedometer to the new one! The new one starts at zero, so you loose your entire mileage history! In this age of technology I find it VERY hard to believe that Drag Specialties can't come up with a way to transfer the old mileage readings, even a $2 digital watch can be set for time & date, so this isn't rocket science we are talking about here! There was nothing wrong with my speedometer, just the odometer, so had I known that I couldn't transfer the readout I would not have purchased this. from 2WheelPros: It is intentional that the mileage cannot be changed at will on this speedometer - just like the original speedometer, for very obvious reasons.
