So I am fortunate to have a CBR that has the CCT located right behind the frame. (954) that means unless you know magic you have to lower the motor 3-4 inches. Rather than going with a manual cct, do to the lack of available space to properly adjust, I decided to replace with the OEM auto cct, replace it, and forget about it. (Until another 15-20k when inevitably it fails again) Longest time was taking and replacing plastics to be honest. A lot of Allen head bolts, motor mount bolts, and a few jacks and a lot of breath holding, about 3 hours later she was back up and running. It’s so nice to have a smooth running bike that keeps proper chain tension. It’s like a new ride. Until that can of rattling bees comes back, it’ll do just fine.
