INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
  1. With engine off, place machine in gear and set parking brake.
  2. Loosen rear wheel nuts slightly.
  3. Elevate and support machine under footrest/frame area.
  4. Remove wheel nuts. Remove wheel.
  5. Remove hub cap, cotter pin, castle nut, cone washer, and flat washer. Remove hub. 
  6. Clean axle spline and taper with a wire brush and grease lightly.
  7. Install hub (PN 5131777) from kit onto axle spline.
    NOTE: Match the taper in the wheel hub to the cone on the axle.
  8. Reinstall flat washer removed during disassembly.
  9. Install spring washer (PN 7555796) from kit with raised center out. See illustration.
  10. Reinstall castle nut and torque to 80 ft. lbs. (11.04 kg/m). Install cotter pin, bending one leg of cotter pin inward and one outward against end of axle.
    NOTE: If the hole for the cotter pin does not line up properly, tighten the nut until the hole aligns, then install cotter pin.
  11. Reinstall hub cap.
  12. Reinstall wheel. Install wheel nuts with tapered side facing in. Torque to 50 ft. lbs.
