Triumph - Fly, Lead, Fuel, Pump - T1241097

Well the problem was my inverted fork seals were bad and leaking onto my front brakes. After I got all my parts together I read the manual and saw that there was an extra step involved with a special tool due to the inverted nature of the forks.
So I partially disassembled the forks leaving the tubes installed on the bike and saw exactly what I had to deal with, and then went to the tractor store and bought what I needed for $8 and then come home and use the welder and a drill press and made the special tool myself and did the whole process myself without pulling the fork out of the triple trees.
Reassembly called for the use of another special tool that I replaced with two paper clips. And no it was not ideal but it worked.
Basically the idea was to hold up the center rod while putting the spring down over it as well as the spacer tube and then I just use the paperclip wrapped around the rod under the lock nut to pull up on it and braced it against the speedometer casing while I was pulling down on the special tool to compress the spring so that I could slide a tool under the lock nut to hold it in place while I screw the top cap onto the rod.
So, for the entire job I had to build four custom tools.
One out of a bolt welded to a nut to use as a large Allen key for the front axle and then the spring compression tool and then the plate with a slot in it to hold the spring compressed,and then lastly the tool to pull up on the rod which I made with two paper clips
