Triumph - Key, Blank, Immobiliser - T2504590

Ignition was destroyed during attempted theft of 16 Thruxton 1200R. Thankfully the tamper proof bolts Triumph uses are easy to get out by just using a Dremel to cut a line into them and then back them out with a screwdriver.

Triumph has an annoying way of selling the exact same things with various different part numbers. Ended up buying a used ignition from a 22 Trident (it's exactly the same except the lettering on cap ends up facing the wrong way when put on a Thruxton).

Bike would not initially start because new ignition key had different transponder in it than the bike's immobilizer is looking for. With both keys near the ignition they seem to interfere with each other. Wrapped the new ignition key fob in tin foil and bike started up.

Bought this blank key and will have it cut to the new ignition. Then off to Triumph dealer to have it programmed to match immobilizer on bike.

I really hate immobilizers.
