Triumph - Switch, Neutral, Ind, Long - T1190282

Changed up my gauge cluster, new bracket, LEDs. Everything worked, till I switched out of neutral. Why would it be the neutral switch? Gave it a shot anyways, low and behold, it was the neutral switch. All works now.

Oil was leaking from the clutch. I had to replace the gasket. I made a video showing step by step how to do it. I bought my some of my replacement parts from adept. My video covers a handful of other repairs. You can totally do this.

I kept finding a puddle of oil under my 2004 Triumph Bonneville, but the oil filter and the drain plug was dry. Found out on the web that the neutral switch was often a source of oil leak. Changing it out is pretty straightforward - I needed a plier to pull on the boot gently, squeezed the clip to pull the wire off of the switch, and use a deep 14mm socket to take out the neutral switch. A little oil will come out, so just make sure you have a small drip pan available.

Replaced the fuel line while I was working on the bike. I think the one on my bike was the original - it was starting to split on the end connected the tank. Removing it was straightforward, just pulled the line and it came right off of the carburetor. Putting the new one in took some patience because there's not a lot of room at the carburetor end. A long nose plier will probably help getting the clip in place. I only had a normal set of plier, but after a lot of sweat and swearing, I managed to get hose connected and the clip mostly in place. I've read elsewhere that other people took out the air box to get it, but I didn't do that.

Replaced The Neutral Switch On The Bottom Of My 2001 Triumph Bonneville To Fix Oil Leak. Used A 14mm Deep Barrell Socket To Remove Old Switch And Installed New One. When You Take The Switch Out A Little Oil Will Come Out Recomend Draining Oil First
