I decided to do a valve adjustment on my 2006 FRJ1300A which has a swapped engine of unknown mileage (found a salvage yard sticker on the valve cover for ~69k miles). I was getting what I thought was poor gas mileage, about 30mpg city. Given the condition of the bike when I purchased it, I figured the engine probably never had a valve adjustment.

The adjustment wasn't too difficult. Getting the cams back in with correct timing took quite awhile. I missed a step and didn't replace the o-rings on the coolant return pipe, and had to tear the bike back down to get the valve cover gasket re-seated properly (I didn't check close enough on my initial inspection).

The gasket I bought from 2WheelPros was trouble free. I'll need to order a couple screws next time the cover comes off because my Harbor Freight torque wrench snapped my screws (yes, I know it da Nm, not just Nm). I order from 2WheelPros because I am just south of their facility so I get parts quickly for just a little more than Ebay, which is always a gamble in terms of shipping times.
