My crank bearings seized up, so I had to split the crank, taking the bolt off the comp lever was a son of a gun. It’s reverse threaded and was lock righted on, ended up snapping the governor post. That was an easy repair. Installing crank shaft bearings as an arm amputee was a bit tricky but I got it done and got the case back together. Advise. Freeze the crankshaft, put the crank case in the oven and heat it up, don’t use a torch. Also on a 98 kdx 200 you have to put the crankshaft seals in before the bearings. That sucked. First time working on a dirtbike. Went fairly smooth.
