Triumph - Fuel Tap Assembly - T2400150

Had some issues with fuel starvation on my 06 Scrambler, dumped out the old gas and replaced the petcock valve. There was a spacer and gasket on my old valve I had to reuse on the new valve. OEM lined up great, bolted in, replaced the fuel line and now she’s running great again.

The repair was easy for me because - I didn't do it. A buddy installed the part. I can say I am very happy with the part. It is nice not to have a leaking petcock valve.

My fuel tap assembly was leaking at the valve. I had no idea how old it was or the condition of the internals, so I just replaced it rather than trying to rebuild it. After removing the tank and draining the fuel, I flipped the tank and removed the old assembly. I thoroughly cleaned the spacer, reassembled the stack with a new seal and mounted. I chose to replace the washers and bolts as well. This project went very smoothly. After a test run to ops check and leak check, the bike is sitting leak free, with a tank of fuel.

Right OEM part delivered in a reasonable time. Fuel petcock assembly is an easy two bolt replacement on old motorcycles. Don't know why I waited so long to just fix it. Thanks

My 2007 Triumph T100 gas tank was rusted and needed to be cleaned and sealed. When I took off the old petcock it was in very poor shape and needed to be replaced. None of the Triumph dealers in Houston had one in stock and I was told it would be several weeks to get a new one. I found Adept Powersports on-line and they got the parts to me in 4 days! Their web site is great and easy to use. They listed the fuel tap assembly (petcock) and also suggested other parts I might need. after reviewing the list I ordered replacement seals and washers along with petcock. Parts came in OEM plastic part bags. After getting tank back from cleaning and sealing it was an easy replacement and bike is running great!
